| Do they do anything special on the ships for Christmas? |

Christmas is a wonderful time to cruise
We have the last three years and did the Caribbean Princess (see photos to the left) this year. They DO have many extras at no additional charge (except the premium cruise fare price you'll pay) for the holidays including:
- Very nice holiday decorations
- Various religious services
- Champagne flows freely for all when you board
- Special Holiday Dinner with Commemorative take-home parchment menu
- Christmas trees (artificial) for sale in the Formalties shop
- Santa for the kids, young or old
- Christmas caroling with the ship's entertainers (way fun)
- Cabin and balcony decorating by those passengers that want to
- None of Aunt Noras lousy Green Bean and Mushroom Soup casserole that shoulda been hot and probably once was but now it got cold in the car on the way over
There's just something about being on a nice warm Caribbean beach that makes everything alright. Be careful though, do it once and you'll want to do it from now on. We've decided that if we could only cruise but once a year we would have to make that the Christmas cruise.

| What about other holidays? |
On most major holidays you'll find something special.
Fireworks at sea on the Fourth of July is a real treat as is a special holiday dinner on Thanksgiving. As you can imagine St Patricks Day is about as crazy as it gets (if you want to participate) on one of the FunShips. On Valentines Day, an "Early Morning Valentines Day Surprise" includes a single stemmed red rose, 2 mimosas and 5 chocolate dipped strawberries.
You'll pay a premium price for sailing during these popular times but I gotta tell you, the experience is really worth it.
